I’m a web developer. And web development is fun – until you get customers involved LOL. “Sure I can rank you for that site!” You get a beautiful little plan developed, you pick out your keywords and your pages. You carefully assemble content. You pick out a perfect theme for them, get some nice looking graphics created – sometimes paying someone to do the “perfect” little graphic for the site. You buy several stock pictures because as you know if you’re in web development, customers never will pick up a camera to just take a few shots of their own work to let you use – aaaargh.
You then carefully assemble the killer site. Keywords just perfect, every picture lines up, perfect flow. It’s beautiful. Then the customer looks at it and they like it, but could you move this over here? Mmm.. I don’t like that wording, can you change it? Sure I know the site is about my pest control business, but I’d like to have a page on there about my church, can we do that? And family too – want to have a page on there for my daughter. She’s doing real well in gymnastics and…
What? You DO realize this is a business site, right?
Sometimes, I do not like this job.
